"That’s not acceptable, I need to rely on you guys to get through this crisis," Wu Huang thought, realizing he was a bit too gentle earlier. He wished he had hit harder so that the other party would reconsider.
"Thank you, but we still have to follow proper procedure because I found some journalists following us and can't let them write anything." Wu Huang cleverly pointed behind him, involving the paparazzi as well. The two police officers looked at each other; if there were indeed journalists, they couldn’t just let people go.
"Okay, we will take notes," the two policemen took out their notebooks and started following proper procedure.
This way, tomorrow's news about Wu Huang’s car accident would be reported in the paper, and Taylor Swift wouldn't suspect him of anything. "Taylor, I hit a car near your apartment; I'm currently at the police station with my lawyer to make a statement. After this should be late enough for me, so no need for an ice bath," Wu Huang only needed to do a simple statement as per procedure.
"WHAT! Did you get hurt?" Taylor Swift was shocked initially and felt disappointed when she learned that he didn't have any injuries.
"How are you feeling? That guy crashed into your car, right?" Emma Watson noticed the depressed look on Taylor's face after hanging up. She guessed correctly with her sarcastic remarks.
"Don’t curse my boyfriend; I'm going to be upset!" Taylor Swift replied unhappily but added, "He did crash, but he’s fine; he just can't make it tonight."
"Cheap trick! It seems like an excuse," Emma Watson smirked and then added, "Good thing you have a real lover. Without him, we can still handle our problems."
"Whatever? You keep away from me! I promised Hugo to behave."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Huh? Don't come over here; I already promised Hugo not to be too adventurous," Wu Huang replied.
"Hey, why are you feeling off?" Wu Huang suddenly felt uncomfortable in the parking garage of Taylor Swift's apartment. On January 25th, New York Knicks stayed at home, and their opponent was Dallas Mavericks. Kidd had a personal reason for missing this game. Despite losing their star base, Dallas Mavericks played well with Nowitzki scoring 35 points and rebounding 10 times while Terry added 20 points. Six players scored double digits as they led from the second quarter and won by 128-98.
In these two games, Knicks faced teams with strong front lines, showing their weak spots again! David Lee and Channing Frye were helpless against Nowitzki, making Knicks lose an important defensive line. Wu Huang contributed 20 points, 4 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. His performance was as good as always; however, with no great front-line support, Knicks still couldn't win when facing a strong team.
Moreover, today's game set the biggest loss margin in their season so far—98 points!
"What? Did you crash into something? Are you injured?" Taylor Swift called Wu Huang after the game. She had recovered quickly and was concerned about his safety. Suddenly, she heard a "thud" before losing communication.
Taylor Swift tried to call back but received no response. Fortunately, Wu Huang's voice came through in a few minutes, informing her of the accident.
"That’s why it’s so dangerous to talk on the phone while driving. I need to go to the police station and won’t be over at your place tonight," Wu Huang explained to the two policemen, glad they weren't the same ones from yesterday.
After dealing with this issue, Wu Huang felt he needed a better solution to avoid such embarrassing situations in the future. While one or two accidents could be excused, frequent collisions would make his two girls doubt him more.
